IPL 2025: Ranking the top 3 GT players of the season

The Gujarat Titans finished third in the table and were ousted as a result of their untimely downturn, after dominating the points table for most of the season. Some players, though, were outstanding all season long and contributed significantly. These three players are examples.

Sai Sudharsan

Sai Sudharsan, the batter who scored the most runs in the 2025 Indian Premier League, was simply outstanding. In the 15 games he played this year, he amassed 759 runs at a strike rate of 156.17 and an incredible average of 54.21. His run total includes a spectacular century and six half-centuries.

Although he had already been reliable in scoring runs in previous years, he raised his strike rate this season to further enhance his performance. He consequently took centre stage on the list of honours, having won up to four awards.

Prasidh Krishna

In addition to winning the Orange Cap for the 18th season of the Indian Premier League, the Gujarat Titans also won the Purple Cap. Prasidh Krishna brought success to the Gujarat Titans and finished the season with the most wickets—25—in his record.

He was one of the most lethal bowlers this season, bowling with an impressive average of 19.52 and a meagre economy of 8.27. He demonstrated his versatility by bowling in the middle overs, the death overs, and the powerplay, and excelled everywhere.

Jos Buttler

This season, the Gujarat Titans' outstanding top order was largely credited with their achievement. In addition to their extremely effective opening duo, Jos Buttler at number three gave them the steadiness and explosiveness they needed to end the match there.

With a strike rate of 163 and an average of 59.77, the 34-year-old hammered 538 runs in yet another outstanding season. Due to national duty, he missed the playoffs after hitting five fifties this season. His absence from the game is claimed to have contributed to the team's defeat. This demonstrates how much the team depends on him.
