IPL 2025: Ranking the top 3 DC players of the season

You could characterise the Delhi Capitals' performance in the 2025 Indian Premier League as a huge disappointment due to their poor play, erratic managerial choices, and tactical errors in the starting lineup.

With just three more victories from their final seven games, a team that had won five of their first seven games was guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. They had a great start to the tournament, but in the middle, they went utterly crazy and were eliminated. Nonetheless, three players continued to stand out this season for their performances.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav bowled beautifully this season and was surely one of the best bowlers among all. However, his records may not be able to reflect back the same, as he somehow turned unlucky on some of the best deliveries bowled in the matches and could not get wickets off them.

Despite all the drama, he managed to scalp 15 wickets from 14 games. He had the best economy in the season, only behind the mighty Jasprit Bumrah, 7.07.

Vipraj Nigam

The Delhi Capitals' season-long discovery must be Vipraj Nigam. With his steady performances and contributions to every game, whether with the bat or the ball, the 20-year-old boy was amazing for them.

In his first 14 games, he claimed 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.12, which included names from heavyweights like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He finished games for the squad by hammering 142 runs at a strike rate of 179.74, demonstrating his versatility as a batsman.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul, the team's most reliable batsman, enjoyed yet another successful batting season. He participated in 13 games and scored 539 runs, coming back to the pavilion not out on three occasions. He was one of the tournament's top batters, maintaining an incredible average of 53.90 and a strike rate of 149.72. During this time, he also had three half-centuries and one century to his credit.
