IPL 2025: Navjot Singh Sidhu reveals his team of the season

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu has announced his best team of the IPL 2025 season. Interestingly, his team will be led by Rohit Sharma, which caught the attention of many as he didn’t lead the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 season.

Starting off with his XI, Rohit opened the innings as he smacked 418 runs from 15 innings at an average of 29.85. He will be partnered with RCB batter Virat Kohli, who scored 657 runs from 15 innings at an average of 54.75 with eight fifty-plus scores.

Later, Jos Buttler and Shreyas Iyer occupied the No.3 and No.4 positions, respectively. While Buttler scored 538 runs from 13 innings at an average of 59.77, Iyer was the star of the season, smacking 604 runs from 17 innings at an average of 50.33 with six fifty-plus scores.

Nicholas Pooran, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya form the middle-order. While Pooran started the season on an explosive note, he couldn’t live up to the expectations later in the edition. On the other hand, the Pandya brothers had crucial contributions to their teams.

Noor Ahmad is the lone spinner in the XI while Prasidh Krishna, Josh Hazlewood, and Jasprit Bumrah form the pace attack. Noor ended the season as the second-leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets from 14 innings.

While GT pacer Prasidh scalped 25 wickets from 15 games to end with the purple cap, Mumbai Indians’ seamer Bumrah pocketed 18 wickets from 12 innings. On the other hand, RCB pacer Hazlewood picked up 22 wickets from 12 games to end the season as the third-leading wicket-taker.
