Out of these, LSG batting will depend on the quartet of Pant, Pooran, Miller, and Marsh to score the majority of runs.

Coming to their bowling, LSG is stacked with pacers like Mayank Yadav, Akash Deep, Mohsin Khan, and Avesh Khan and other Indian talent like Arshin Kulkarni and Akash Singh. The biggest threats to LSG plans are uncertainty about the fitness of Mitchell Marsh and pacer Mayank Yadav. Both are high-impact players who have the tendency to break down often. They would need to build a new batting lineup and a compatible bowling unit as well.

LSG had let go Marcus Stoinis and now will have to find balance with the all-rounder gone. Someone like Arshin Kulkarni or Himmat Singh will have to step up as batters, and Shamar Joseph, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, and other bowlers will need to be at the top of their game for LSG to succeed in IPL 2025.
