IPL 2025: Know CSK squad, captain, and vice-captain

The Chennai Super Kings are one of the most prolific franchises in the cricketing world. With a rich history, they are all set to dominate the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Led by the flamboyant Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Men in Yellow will be looking for their sixth IPL trophy this year.

Ruturaj Gaikwad leads a dynamic squad

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the new captain, is a right-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm off-break bowler. He will be looking to lead from the front with his batting prowess. The squad features a mix of seasoned players and promising talent. 

Devon Conway, the explosive left-handed batter, will be a key component at the top of the order and will also share wicket-keeping duties. All-rounder Rachin Ravindra adds valuable depth to the team with his contributions with both bat and ball.

Rahul Tripathi, known for his aggressive right-handed batting, will be a crucial middle-order batsman. Shivam Dube provides further firepower in the batting lineup. Talking about the vice-captain, officially the management has not declared a vice-captain yet.

Ravindra Jadeja, the experienced all-rounder, brings immense skill and experience to the team. His all-round abilities and finishing prowess make him a vital asset. MS Dhoni, the veteran wicketkeeper and right-handed batsman, continues to be part of the squad, bringing his vast experience and leadership to the team. 

Ravi Ashwin, making a comeback to his home-state-based franchise, adds variety and experience to the bowling attack. Matheesha Pathirana, known for his sling-arm action, will be a key player in the pace department and the leader of the bowling attack. Khaleel Ahmed, the left-arm pacer, provides further options in the seam attack. Noor Ahmad, the talented leg-spinner, adds variety to the spin department, and it will be interesting to see how he fares under the leadership of Ashwin.

The CSK squad also includes some exciting new additions. Andre Siddarth, a right-handed batter, will be eager to make his mark. Vansh Bedi, a right-handed batter and wicketkeeper, adds depth to the squad. Shaik Rasheed, a right-handed batter and leg-break bowler, is a promising young player who will be looking to learn from the experienced members of the team.
