The LSG skipper saved his best for last, but his cost was not justified by the only 269 runs he scored in 13 innings at an average of 24.45. In the same vein, Venkatesh Iyer did not consistently make an impression despite a single fifty. He scored 142 runs at 20.29 in 11 games and a strike rate of 139.22. In 11 innings, the Hyderabad right-hander has amassed 182 runs at an average of 22.75. He did not bowl much as well.

All-rounders: Glenn Maxwell, Liam Livingstone & Rashid Khan

Maxwell's IPL season was arguably the worst. 48 runs at a strike rate of 97.96 and an average of 8.00 in 7 innings. At an economy rate of 8.46, he also took four wickets. Livingstone's typical explosive self was only a shell of his former self. His all-round skills have only yielded two wickets and 87 runs at 17.40 (SR 127.94) in 7 games. Rashid had a terrible season as well, taking only nine wickets with an average of 57.11

R Ashwin had a homecoming season, but he only took seven wickets in nine innings, disappointing the team and its supporters.
