1. Tristan Stubbs

Stubbs is one of the most exciting players in DC’s lineup for this season. He is one of the few players in world cricket who can do everything. Along with his attacking batting skills, the 24-year-old is also a gun fielder and can also bowl a few overs regularly. Along with that, if required, he can also keep wickets. Stubbs is a true T20 player in this era.

In IPL, Stubbs has played a total of 18 matches since making his debut in 2022 and has made 405 runs at a strike rate of 173.81. Last season, he was the second-highest run-scorer for DC and scored 378 runs at a strike rate of 190.90, including three half-centuries.

Stubbs has been an all-format player for the Proteas and has featured in 35 T20I matches so far since making his debut in 2022. In 2024, he made 431 runs for South Africa at an average of 35.91 and a strike rate of 125.65.

2. T Natarajan

DC shelled out INR 10.75 crore for Natarajan and fought a tough battle against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Natarajan is known for his toe-crushing yorkers and death over bowling.

He made his IPL debut in 2017 with Punjab Kings (PBKS). He played for SRH from 2020 to 2024 and finished as the third-highest wicket-taker for the team. Natarajan has picked a total of 67 wickets in 61 matches in IPL at an average of 29.38, an economy of 8.83, and a strike rate of 19.9.

Natarajan was the leading wicket-taker for SRH last season, and he picked 19 wickets at an average of 24.47. Since 2020, he has picked 10 or more wickets in four out of five seasons.

3. KL Rahul

DC will be the fifth franchise for KL Rahul in IPL. The 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has played for SRH, RCB, PBKS, and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the past. He was the captain of the LSG until last season.

Rahul has scored 4683 runs in 132 IPL matches at an average of 45.46 and a strike rate of 134.60. He has scored four centuries and 37 half-centuries in IPL. He made his IPL debut in 2013 and has made more than 500 runs in six seasons.

In 2020, Rahul scored 670 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 129.34 and won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in a season. Rahul has been a regular part of the Indian Test and ODI setup. However, he has not played a T20I match since T20 World Cup 2022. A decent IPL 2025 might help Rahul get his place back in the Indian team.
