IPL 2025: 3 Key battles to watch out for in SRH vs LSG Match 7

After thrilling last games played by the two teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants will be against each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on March 27. Apart from a mouth-watering contest between the two sides, there are also certain player battles to look out for. Let us take a look at three of those.

1. Rishabh Pant vs Pat Cummins

The contests between Rishabh Pant and Pat Cummins go beyond the Indian Premier League and have a great rivalry between them. Pant as well as Cummins did not have a great last game where they could not really contribute much to the team.

Pant has faced 27 deliveries from Cummins and with the help of three boundaries and a sixer, he has scored 30 runs. He has lost his wicket just once in this process through which makes the contest quite even between the two.

2. Heinrich Klaasen vs Ravi Bishnoi

Klaasen has been living up to his name in the IPL and scoring runs for fun. He smashed 34 runs off just 14 balls in the last game which included a six and five boundaries while Ravi Bishnoi did not have a good match as he was smashed for 53 runs while he took two wickets too.

There has not been a big sample size between the two but from what is available so far, Klaasen has been dominating the proceedings. He has scored 15 runs off 7 balls with a boundary and a sixer without getting dismissed. Bishnoi is a brave spinner and would be looking for a turn-around.

3. Nicholas Pooran vs Mohammed Shami

Nicholas Pooran was sensational in his last innings where he scored 75 off just 30 against Delhi showcasing his red-hot form. Mohammad Shami, on the other hand, was a part of the run-fest and scalped one wicket while giving 33 runs in his three overs.

The match-ups between the two are dominated by Shami who has bowled seven deliveries to Pooran where he has been able to score just nine runs. Hitting just one boundary, he has lost his wicket once to the bowler too.
