Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants will be against each other at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 19. Apart from a mouth-watering contest between the two sides, there are also certain player battles to look out for. Let us take a look at three of those.
1. Rishabh Pant vs Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins and Rishabh Pant have a fierce rivalry that extends beyond the Indian Premier League. Both Cummins and Pant have had a poor season, unable to make significant contributions to the team.
With three boundaries and a sixer, Pant has amassed 30 runs off of 29 deliveries from Cummins. Although he has only lost one wicket during this procedure, Cummins seems to have the edge over Pant.
2. Heinrich Klaasen vs Ravi Bishnoi
Heinrich Klaasen has been on and off this season with the bat, scoring in some while failing in some as well. Ravi Bishnoi has had a similar season too, with some good spells while not being effective in some.
There has not been a big sample size between the two, but from what is available so far, Klaasen has been dominating the proceedings. He has scored 21 runs off 10 balls with two boundaries and a sixer without getting dismissed. Bishnoi is a brave spinner and would be looking for a turnaround.
3. Nicholas Pooran vs Mohammed Shami
Nicholas Pooran was sensational in the first half of the IPL, scoring runs like a walk in the park, but just somehow completely stopped doing so towards the latter half. Mohammed Shami has not been having a good season as well, where he has been sent for runs in every game.
The match-ups between the two have been quite equally balanced, with Pooran having faced 10 deliveries and having scored 15 runs off them, which includes two boundaries. He has lost his wicket once in the process, too.
