The Chennai Super Kings would be playing against the Rajasthan Royals at a neutral venue in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 20. Apart from the teams, there are a few player battles to watch out for. Here are three of those player battles.
Sanju Samson vs Khaleel Ahmed
Sanju Samson has been struggling with injuries for a while this season, but has been a dependable batter for them. He looks to be in good form as well. Khaleel Ahmed has proved to be a brilliant buy for the team, taking regular wickets right at the top.
The match-up between these two has been highly dominated by Sanju as he has faced 50 balls from Khaleel while he has scored 81 runs off them. He has smashed eight boundaries and four sixes while getting out just once to him.
Yashasvi Jaiswal vs Noor Ahmad
Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a fantastic season so far, where he has been scoring in almost every match and finds himself active in the race for the orange cap. Noor Ahmad, too, has had a brilliant season with the ball, and he is active in the race for the purple cap.
These two have had limited interaction with each other, but from the available sample size, Jaiswal has dominated it. He has faced nine balls from Noor, where he has smashed him for 20 runs with a strike rate of 222.22 without ever getting out to him.
Shivam Dube vs Wanindu Hasaranga
Shivam Dube has not lived up to his name this season, and as a result, the middle order of Chennai has faced the brunt of losses. Wanindu Hasaranga has bowled well in some matches, but has not been able to be the gripping factor for the bowling line-up of his team.
However, in their rivalry, Dube has delivered so far. Hasaranga has bowled 20 deliveries to him, where he has got him out once but has been sent packing for 43 runs, which is inclusive of three boundaries and four sixes so far.
