The Indian Cricket Board has started preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season as the ongoing ODI World Cup is nearing its business end. The 2023 edition provided many exciting moments throughout the tournament, which concluded with a thrilling final where Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the coveted title for the record fifth time. The governing body has announced an increase in franchisees' budgets, meaning they can now spend Rs 100 crore. All 10 franchises have announced the IPL 2024 Released Players List and Retained Players List. The much-awaited mini-player auction is expected to take place in December 2023 in Mumbai.
