The CSK vs RCB match was one of the most awaited clashes of the IPL 2021. Everyone was expecting it to be a nailbiter, however, it was MS Dhoni’s men who made easy work of the Bangalore franchise.
Ravindra Jadeja was on fire in today’s game and delivered a sparkling performance with both bat and ball. First he scored a blistering 62 of just 28 balls before bamboozling the RCB batsmen with an outstanding display of spin bowling, picking up 3 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs.
MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bat. Despite a good start, CSK was looking to end with a total of around 170 but Ravindra Jadeja made a mockery of RCB’s death over specialist Harshal Patel and smacked him for 37 runs in the final over, taking CSK to a solid 191.
He then picked up the wickets of Washington Sundar, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers to break the spine of RCB’s batting. Here is how Twitter reacted to Jadeja’s breathtaking all-round display.
Crickets interesting… we know 192 at Wankhede is more than possible to chase. The mind set of the @RCBTweets batters will be interesting. Often 6 (or 7balls in this case) can swing a teams psyche… when in actual fact 192 as a whole is an attainable target pre game. #CSKvRCB
