Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) displayed immense character to pull off a stunning victory in their previous game against the in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Though SRH could manage just 141 runs at the end of their 20 overs, they did not let the chase be a cakewalk for RCB. In what was a last-ball thriller, SRH was successful in clinching a victory by four runs.

SRH have had a dismaying tournament this season. The team’s lethal bowling lineup has been their strength over the years. However, this time around the scripts weren’t quite the same. Apart from that, SRH’s batting unit has also struggled. Heading into the last league game, the team would be determined to end their campaign on a positive note.

For the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), they have been left to decide their own fate. The team has Kolkata Knight Riders in their way with a better run-rate than MI. The team thus will need to pull off a big win in order to book their spot in the top four. In their must-win game against Rajasthan, MI’s bowlers ran through the opposition’s batting order to restrict them to a total of just 90 runs.

Chasing down, what came in as a big sigh of relief for MI is the good form of their star batter Ishan Kishan. The Rohit Sharma-led side is known to bounce back stronger and that is what the team will aim for ahead of this match.
