Two of the most consistent teams in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will cross swords in a mouth-watering encounter today, October 4. Both teams are placed neck and neck in the points table with nine wins in 11 games.
However, a better net run rate has given CSK the top position in the points table. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs but there is still a lot at stake in the match. A win for either of the team will bolster their chances of finishing in the top two.
Cricketer turn expert Brian Lara feels that Delhi Capitals have a better chance of winning the game. Lara reckoned that the Rishabh Pant-led side has a better bowling attack which can be the difference between the teams in today’s game.
Taking to Instagram Lara said, “A test run for what is likely to be the first vs second game in a few days time, to decide which team goes straight to the finals. It’s a close one to call. I am going with DC here, as I feel their bowling attack is the strongest in this year’s IPL.”
DC come into the match after an impressive win over Mumbai Indians. CSK, on the other hand, suffered a seven-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR). DC boast of a formidable attack with Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin at their disposal. Rabada won the purple cap in the last season, scalping 30 wickets in 17 games but has looked slightly off colour in IPL 2021 so far. Lara, however, backed Rabada to come good against CSK. “I would like to see Kagiso Rabada back in wicket taking form.
