Internet sensation kid trains with idol Sachin Tendulkar

SK Shahid, a five-year-old fan of Sachin Tendulkar, got a chance to train with the “God” of cricket himself. A video of the five-year-old’s practice session went viral which caught the attention of the world, including Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar.

Shahid idolizes Sachin and in a dream come true moment for him, he got to train at the Middlesex Global Academy with the maestro himself. Sachin was present in the academy, personally encouraging and handing out tips to the young prodigy.

Shaikh Shamser, who works at a hair salon, thanked Sachin for this opportunity. “My son is five years old. His role model is Sachin Sir and it was his dream to see him. He wants to become a cricketer. Just to see him was his dream, but what Sachin sir did, even a thank you is less”, as quoted by SportsTak.

The video shared by Shahid’s parents was tweeted by Fox Cricket, the Australian Channel. The channel tagged Tendulkar, former England captain Michael Vaughan and the late Shane Warne while sharing the video. Tendulkar watched the video and a member of his team connected with the kid’s parents.

The family’s visit and stay at a guest house in Mumbai was arranged by the icon himself. Sachin fulfilled the kid’s father’s wish that his son gets professional training. Shahid was taken to the academy and trained there for five days under Tendulkar’s guidance.

According to Shahid, Sachin advised him on which balls to play and which ones to leave. Guidance was also provided on how to take catches and grip the bat and the ball.

The kid’s father also shared that the icon praised his kid and said that he has natural talent and would go far. They are now in search of a good club where the child can begin his cricket career.
