As things stand, the star cricketer was caught having a heated exchange with a shopkeeper in a supermarket in Vijayapura. To add more, the issue was all about the price of a product and the Indian star was reportedly unhappy with the same.

The issue escalated when Gayakwad had a conversation with the in charge of the supermarket which eventually led to an altercation between the two involved. The incident was caught on the CCTV installed in the supermarket and fans were rather unhappy with the news.

As things stand, India TV claimed that the duo solved the issue amicably, having claimed initially to file a police complaint against each other. Fans took to social media to opine on the same and said that cricketers must maintain patience while dealing with such issues as it might hit the headlines unwantedly.

Having played for India in 64 Women’s ODIs, Gayakwad has racked up 99 wickets in the format so far, proving to be one of India’s best spinners at the moment and in the One Day format in specific. As far as her T20I records are concerned, Gayakwad has represented India in 44 matches and has picked up 54 scalps so far.

In the longest format of the game, the slow left-arm spinner has represented India in only 2 matches and has racked up 5 wickets in the format. However, Gayakwad’s last Test match came in the year 2021 and has not been a part of the setup since then. However, the 31-year-old continues to be a part of the white-ball setup.

It remains to be seen if she would make a comeback in the longest format at the earliest, although it looks highly unlikely at present, given that India have already found their balanced side for the format.
