The bowling unit did an outstanding job to restrict Bangalore to just 157 runs on the board in the first innings. Prasidh Krishna starred with the ball for Rajasthan as claimed 3 important wickets, giving away only 22 runs in his 4 overs.

He accounted for the wicket of Kohli (7 off 8) to leave Bangalore in trouble early-on. Krishna was as brilliant in the power play as he was in the slog overs. Later on, he picked the vital wickets of Karthik (6 off 7) and Hasaranga (0 off 1).

After the fall of the first wicket, Rajat Patidar and Faf du Plessis added 70 runs for the second wicket. However, the Bangalore’s skipper was struggling to middle the ball and, eventually, got out off McCoy in the 11th over. Glenn Maxwell made a pretty good start but failed to convert that into a big score. He got out off Boult in the 14th over after scoring 24 runs in 13 balls.

Bangalore still had chances of reaching a big score. However, Rajat Patidar’s wicket in the 16th over led a collapse. He scored another 50-plus score but couldn’t go on to play a big knock. Patidar got out in the 16th over after scoring 58 runs in 42 balls. Once he got out, Bangalore lost the momentum and, in the end, were restricted to a below-par score.

The likes of Mahipal Lomror (8 off 10), Dinesh Karthik (6 off 7), and Harshal Patel (1 off 2) all failed to contribute with the bat. McCoy was brilliant with his mix-ups. He was brilliant in the latter half of the innings and returned with bowling figures of 3 for 22 in 4 overs.

In pursuit of a 157-run total, Rajasthan got a pretty good start. Buttler started slowly but a 13-ball 21 from Jaiswal meant Rajasthan amassed 60 runs in the first 5 overs. Jaiswal got out on the first ball of the sixth over but Buttler, once again, played a match-winning knock of 106 runs in 60 balls. He stitched a valuable 50-plus partnership with Sanju Samson.

The likes of Sanju Samson (23 off 21) and Devdutt Padikkal (9 off 12) got out on low scores but, once again, it was Buttler who took the team home easily in the end.
