Rajasthan were simply too good for Lucknow. They ended their winning streak as they managed to beat the KL Rahul-led side by three runs. The Sanju Samson-led side have now won their third game of the Indian T20 league 2022.

During the first innings, Lucknow's bowlers were superb with the new ball and didn't give Rajasthan's top-order any breathing space. The 2008-champions were reduced to 67-4 in the first 10 overs, and were seemingly struggling. However, Shimron Hetmyer played an absolute masterclass.

The Windies batter not only played the rescue act, but he also scored runs at a quick rate. He put on a superb partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin, who was promoted to number six. This enabled Rajasthan to 165-6 in their stipulated 20 overs. It was a good score as the ball wasn't really coming on to the bat, and the conditions weren't batting-friendly.

Lucknow struggled in the powerplay overs as they lost three wickets in the first six overs. Trent Boult was simply unplayable with the new ball and his opening spell was one to cherish for. As a matter of fact, he picked two wickets in the first over of the second innings itself.

The KL Rahul-led side continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Although Quinton de Kock decided to take the responsibility, he was dismissed after scoring 39 off 32 deliveries. Lucknow's batting tactics were baffling as they shuffled their batting order. The decision to send their bowling all-rounders to bat at the top-order backfired.

Besides, their move to send Marcus Stoinis at eight was questionable, to say the least. He almost won the game for Lucknow as he scored an unbeaten 38 from just 17 balls. Yet, it wasn't enough as the Lucknow-based franchise fell short of their target by three runs. As for Rajasthan's bowlers, it was Yuzvendra Chahal who was superb as he went on to pick a four-fer. This nail-biter led to fans posting several memes from the game.

Here are some of the memes from today's game between Rajasthan and Lucknow:
