The Indian T20 league 2022 keeps treating the fans with some exciting games. The 29th game of the Indian T20 league 2022 saw Gujarat beat Chennai by three wickets. However, it was David Miller who stole the show.
He showed everyone why he is rated so highly among the experts and pundits. However, before his knock, it was Ruturaj Gaikwad who finally got back to the groove. After several low scores in the 2022 edition, he finally got back his lost form. The opener went on to score a sensational 73 from 48 balls.
An important point to be noted is the fact that he played so well despite his side losing two quick wickets in the first six overs. He was well supported by Ambati Rayudu, who scored a 31-ball 46. Considering the fact that he too was struggling to get runs in this season, his knock on Sunday came as a huge sigh of relief for all the Chennai fans. Post his dismissal, Gaikwad continued to play his shots for a few more overs.
It was Yash Dayal who finally managed to dismiss him. After which, The Chennai skipper Ravindra Jadeja hit some lusty blows towards the end of the first innings. His cameo enabled the yellow army to get to 169-5 in their stipulated 20 overs.
When it comes to the second innings, Gujarat had a batting collapse as well. They lost their top-order rather early. They were reduced to 48-4 after the first eight overs of the second innings. The absence of Gujarat's regular skipper Hardik Pandya was clearly missed. However, Miller played one of the best knocks of this edition, and was hitting boundaries for fun.
The aggressive batter went on to score a brilliant 94 from 51 balls. His knock consisted of eight fours and six sixes. As far as Chennai's bowlers are concerned, Maheesh Theekshana was superb. He took two wickets, and gave just 24 runs in his full quota of four overs. Miller's unreal knock enabled Gujarat to chase the total with one ball to spare. Rashid Khan had a memorable game as a captain as he played a handy cameo, he scored 40 runs from just 21 balls. Several fans took to Twitter to post some hilarious memes.
Here are some of the best memes from today's game:
