Indian T20 League 2022: Gujarat unveil logo in metaverse – Watch

The Indian T20 League’s latest addition Gujarat made headlines during the recently concluded mega auction due to the players they picked. Now, in what comes as major news, the franchise have unveiled their logo as well.

This team was purchased by the CVC group for a whopping amount of INR 5625 crore. While they had announced that Hardik Pandya was going to lead the side in this edition, they were the only team to not have a logo during the auction. However, they became the first franchise to launch their logo in the metaverse.

Gujarat took to social media to release the video of the launch, which was one of a kind. In this video, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and Ashish Nehra were seen speaking to each other. After which, the logo was then unveiled.

“Our DNA is about reaching the top and always moving upwards. There is Gujarat’s kite which is not just our passion but it larger than life. Our motto is to share energy and unlimited power. We stop at nothing,” the trio said during their discussion before the logo was finally revealed.

In the meanwhile, the franchise were superb during the mega auction. They managed to buy some world-class players such as Jason Roy, David Miller, Lockie Ferguson and Mohammed Shami. However, they made some big buys as well. For example, they spent INR 9 crore in order to acquire the services of Rahul Tewatia.

Earlier, they had signed three players, them being Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill. Besides, this will be the first time that the all-rounder will be leading a side in the Indian T20 league. Thus, he has a golden opportunity to display his captaincy skills in the biggest T20 league in the world.
