The India-England series is one of the most high profile rivalries in cricket. Both teams are set to lock horns in a marquee 5 match Test series and the fans can’t wait to see these two giants clash in a battle for Test supremacy. Both teams have dominated each other in their home conditions thus it will be an uphill task for Virat Kohli’s men in England. The Test series is still a fair distance away but the fans have already started getting into the groove.
The Indian fans trolled England’s leading bowler James Anderson by calling him Clouderson, stressing on the fact that he does well in overcast conditions.

In their reply, the famous ‘ Barmy Army’ hit back at the Indian fans by sharing a video of James Anderson where he rattled the Indian batting in the Chennai Test. They captioned the video as “To all the India fans in our mentions saying Jimmy ‘Clouderson”. The Indians were never going to back down and reverted with another video where Rishabh Pant can be seen hitting Anderson for a reverse sweep.

India have been very dominant in Test cricket of late and have defeated Australia in Australia twice in two years. They have also won Test matches in South Africa and West Indies. However, England is one country where they would want to improve their record. They were thrashed 4-1 in their last visit to UK and have not won a Test series in the country since Rahul Dravid led them to victory in 2007.
The recently concluded Test series between India and England in India was a one-sided affair as England had no answers to the turning conditions. It will be interesting to see what kind of pitches England prepare for the series. While they will be tempted to throw green wickets, they will be wary of the fact that India too boast of a lethal pace attack and the move can backfire on them.
