The Indian Cricket Board announced the fixture list for the international home season for Team India on Tuesday, July 25. As revealed, Team India will have more limited-over action ahead of the coveted ODI World Cup 2023 in October-November. The Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee comprising Mr. Amitabh Vijayvargiya, Mr. Jayendra Sahgal, and Mr. Hari Narayan Pujari have also finalised all venues for the home season that features a total of 16 International matches, comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. Notably, preference has been given to venues that have missed out on the ODI World Cup 2023.

The home season will commence with the first series against Australia. The Australia tour of India will feature 3 ODIs and five T20Is. The ODIs will be held in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot whereas the five T20Is are scheduled to take place in Vizag, Trivandrum, Guwahati, Nagpur, and Hyderabad. While the ODIs will take place before the ODI World Cup 2023 between September 22 and September 27, the five T20Is will take place after the conclusion of the World Cup. The T20Is kick off on November 23 and run until December 3.

Afghanistan will tour India in January in their first-ever white-ball bilateral tour  

Following this, Afghanistan will arrive at the start of the New Year for a 3-match T20I series which will also mark their first-ever white-ball bilateral tour, thanks to the Indian Cricket Board. Mohali, Indore, and Bengaluru will play hosts for the three T20Is that will be held between January 11 and January 17. Following this, the team will dive into the world of Test Cricket.

England’s tour of India for a five-match Test series will be the team’s next commitment. The five-match Test series will kick off with the first Test in Hyderabad on January 25, 2024. At the same time, after games in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi, the series will culminate with the final Test at the picturesque Dharamshala Stadium. The final Test will be played between March 7 and 11, 2024. It will be a vital series for the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle’s standings.
