Cricket's biggest spectacle, the 2023 ODI World Cup, is less than a week away and fans and former cricketers alike are excited to witness some exciting action on the field. Before any major tournament, it is very common for the cricket fraternity to give their predictions. This will add spice to the upcoming encounters and increase the excitement among the fans worldwide.

The 13th edition of the Men's Cricket World Cup will begin on October 5 when the defending champions take on runners-up New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A total of 10 teams will compete in the one-and-a-half-month-long tournament across 10 different states of India. With India being the host nation, they are considered one of the main favourites to lift the trophy.

The likes of five-time champions Australia, reigning champions England and dark horse New Zealand are also strong contenders this time. Meanwhile, ahead of the showpiece event, an array of cricketers including legends like Muttiah Muralitharan, Waqar Younis and Chris Gayle gave their predictions for the 2023 ODI World Cup final.

Apart from former Australia captain Aaron Finch, all other cricketers have picked India as one of the finalists. England, Australia, Pakistan and South Africa are the other teams that have made it to the list of favourites. Meanwhile, South African ace cricketer Faf du Plessis was confused about picking Australia and New Zealand to face India in the final.
