The upcoming International T20 Cup is set to begin on October 17 in Oman and UAE. The event returns after five years and there is a sense of excitement among fans and experts. Even the broadcasters are not behind and have jumped into the bandwagon by releasing a fun video featuring India skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant.

In the clip, Kohli tells Pant that hitting sixes is very important during the International T20 Cup. Pant was quick to respond and said he is practicing it by playing shots in the nets. The southpaw then gave an example of MS Dhoni and said that a wicketkeeper-batter had helped India lift the International 50 over Cup in 2011.

“Rishabh, sixes win you matches in T20 cricket,” Kohli tells Pant in a virtual call in the video shared by Star Sports India.

“Don’t worry bhaiya, I am practicing every day. It was a wicketkeeper that won India a 50-over Cup by hitting a six,” said Pant.

Apart from being one of the modern-day greats, Dhoni was also regarded as one of the finest finishers of the game. Kohli was quick to note that fact and trolled Pant by saying that India have not got a wicketkeeper like Dhoni after the veteran's retirement.

“Yes, but India have not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai since then,” Kohli said.

After hearing this comment, Pant had a wry smile on his face and said he is the designated wicketkeeper batter of the team, who can finish matches like Dhoni. Kohli said there are quite a few options in the team such as KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. “See I have a lot of wicketkeepers, let’s see who plays in the warm-ups.”
