'India have gone into panic mode today'- Twitter lauds South Africa as they prevent India from getting away with a whitewash

The third match of the South Africa tour of India turned out to be complete domination by the visitors. After putting on a great show with the bat, they were electric in the field. In the end, South Africa won the match by 49 runs to end the series 2-1.

Rohit Sharma won the toss at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore and decided to bowl first, However, his team did not have the best time with the ball. Quinton de Kock gave South Africa a great start in the match with early boundaries. While he continued his excellent form from the previous match, Temba Bavuma continued his disastrous form, departing after only three runs. Rilee Rossouw joined De Kock after the first wicket fell in the fifth over and immediately began smacking the ball.

They worked together to form a strong partnership and never gave the bowlers any chances. Each batted for half a century and contributed 90 runs to the partnership. De Kock (68), who was attempting to steal a quick double, was eventually run out for a team score of 120 in 12.1 overs. Russow, however, continued his carnage and went on to score his maiden T20I hundred.

In the end, he was assisted by Tristan Stubbs (23) and David Miller (19). The Proteas managed to score 227/3, with Russow contributing 100 of them. For India, Deepak Chahar and Umesh Yadav were the only two wicket-takers, with one each.

South Africa dominates their defence

The Men in Blue had a terrible start as the lost skipper Rohit (0) on the second ball of the chase. Shreyas Iyer (1) also departed soon, putting India in trouble. Dinesh Karthik (46) was promoted up the order to test him ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, and he delivered to some extent. He formed a small partnership of 41 runs with Rishabh Pant (27).

However, South Africa was electric in the field and kept taking wickets. Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar scored a few boundaries in the match, but that was never enough for them. In the end, they were all-out for a team score of 178 runs.
