India's squad for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies has been announced. Not to be surprised, a lot of first-choice players are missing from the squad. The ODI squad has already been announced. In that squad, the senior players have been rested as well. Speaking of the tour, it will start on July 22, with a three-match ODI series in Trinidad.

The T20I series will follow a week after the first ODI and will conclude on August 7, 2022. The matches will be played in three venues in Trinidad, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Florida. Notably, the venue for the ODIs and the first T20I will be different. The 50-over games will be played at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain.

On the other hand, the first T20I will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba. The next two T20Is will be played at Warner's Park in St Kitts. The last two games will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida. Talking about the squad, the team is pretty much the same as it was against South Africa and Ireland.

However, there are a few changes to the squad. Ravichandran Ashwin, who hasn't featured in limited-overs games since November last year, has been included. Yuzvendra Chahal, who featured against the Proteas, Ireland, and England, has been rested. Also, Umran Malik, who was part of the team in these series, has been omitted. KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav, who were injured, make their return but are subject to fitness.
