The second day of the ongoing Test between India and Sri Lanka saw a special knock by Ravindra Jadeja. After putting together an important partnership with Rishabh Pant on Friday, he took the responsibility to get the runs on Saturday. In the process, he scored a magnificent hundred as well and walked back not out on 175.

Earlier, India were in a slight spot of bother after the dismissal of Rishabh Pant on Day one. However, Jadeja, with the support of Ravichandran Ashwin, ensured that the hosts gain the advantage. After the dismissal of the Tamil Nadu all-rounder, the southpaw got his century in the very next over. After getting to the three-figure mark, he displayed his iconic sword celebration.

While everyone were enjoying, and watching him swing his bat, Mohammed Siraj imimtated the all-rounder’s special celebration with a bottle in his hand in the dugout and the video of him doing the same went viral instantly.

India cross 500 in the first innings

Fans absolutely loved Siraj’s candid imitation of his teammate’s celebration. In the meanwhile, after scoring a hundred, Jadeja kissed his helmet and looked at the black armband, which the teams are wearing as a tribute to Shane Warne. The legend passed away on Friday.

It is to be noted that it was the legendary Aussie who nicknamed Jadeja “Rockstar”. Thus, his knock was a fitting tribute to the spin king. As far as the total score is concerned, India have already scored over 500.

Jadeja looked solid at the crease and never looked in a mood to slow down. On the back of his knock, India posted a mammoth total of 574/8 before skipper Rohit Sharma declared the innings. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka have an uphill task in their hands now to save the Test.
