The four-time champion Chennai Super Kings upset the defending champion Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023 on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk. The victory qualified CSK for their tenth IPL final. The winner of the elimination game between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants will play in Qualifier 2 with Gujarat. Gujarat Titans took first place in the league stage of the competition with 10 victories from 14 games, while Chennai came in second with 8 victories from 14 games.

CSK will have participated in an IPL final for a record-breaking tenth time. In 2008, they participated in the first final and lost to the Rajasthan Royals. CSK will play one of Gujarat Titans or Mumbai Indians in the season's championship game. As such, another update of the IPL final has recently surfaced. Famous Indian rappers Divine and King have been announced as the mid-game and pre-game performers for the IPL final.

IPL 2023 Final tickets sales are live now

Tuesday at 11 a.m., ticket sales for the Indian Premier League 2023 championship game began. The tickets for the IPL final, which will be contested at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 28, will go on sale at 11 AM, according to a tweet from the IPL's official account earlier on Tuesday. Additionally, the tweet stated that RuPay cardholders would have early access to the tickets exclusively while supplies last.

MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, might face a suspension from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 championship game. Dhoni may not be allowed to participate in the final on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium after previously receiving a code of conduct fine for playing slowly. Dhoni quarrelled with the umpires during the GT vs. CSK Qualifier 1 match, which added a four-minute delay.

In addition to leading Chennai Super Kings to yet another IPL championship game on Tuesday, the cunning Mahendra Singh Dhoni also permitted his deadly weapon Matheesha Pathirana to bowl the decisive 16th over against Gujarat Titans in the opening IPL qualifier.
