Young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh is in the headlines of social media since the nail-biting thriller between India and Pakistan in the super-4 round of Asia Cup 2022. He is on the receiving end of the criticism from the fans for an unfortunate dropped catch of Asif Ali in the 18th over of the match.

It was the time when young Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi was bowling to senior Pakistani batter, Asif Ali. The right-hander lofted the third ball the over in the air and it went towards Arshdeep. He eventually happened to miss that catch and it proved as the turning point in Pakistan’s five-wicket victory against the Indians.

Amidst all the criticism for the youngster, the fans showed their support for him and they went on trend with the hashtag #IndiaStandwithArshdeep. They praised the previous efforts and stellar performances of Arshdeep in the T20 internationals for India.

Pakistan won the thrilling nail-biter against the Indians

Talking about the match, then the Pakistani skipper Babar Azam won the toss and asked the Indians to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Batting first, the men in blue posted a total of 181 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli played a fine knock of 60 runs off 44 balls with four boundaries and two sixes to his name.

Other than this, skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul also scored 28-runs each. Pakistani vice-captain and star all-rounder Shadab Khan scalped two wickets for Pakistan.

While chasing the target, the men in green managed to cross the line in the 19.5 overs on the backs of brilliant knocks from star wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz. Rizwan scored 71 runs off 51 balls with six boundaries and two sixes on his credit.

Other than him, Mohammad Nawaz scored 42 runs off just 20 balls with six boundaries and two sixes. Thanks to these two amazing knocks, Pakistan won the match by five wickets against the men in blue.
