Former Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli has been enduring a lean patch in his cricketing career. Turning up for Bangalore in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League, Kohli, so far, has only managed to score 119 runs in 8 matches at an average of 19.83.
He got a pretty good start to his Indian T20 League 2022 as he played a handy 41-run knock off 29 balls in the first game against Punjab. However, the Indian cricketer couldn’t replicate those knocks consistently in the tournament.
In the ongoing match against Bangalore, Kohli got out on the very first ball of his innings. Marco Jansen had him edge the ball to second slip on the very first ball of his innings. Kohli got out without even opening his account.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time when Virat Kohli has gotten out for a duck in the ongoing season. In the last game against Lucknow as well, he got out on the very first ball of his innings.
Notably, this is the first time when Virat Kohli has gotten out without even opening his account twice in a single season of the Indian T20 League. The former Indian skipper is currently enduring the worst period in his cricketing career and this is clearly visible in the Indian T20 League 2022.
The fans have expressed their disappointment, following Kohli’s second duck this season. Some of them offered their concern for the out-of-form batsman.
Here’s a look at some of the reactions:

In the best interest of Indian cricket, urge @bcci too brass to give a break to @imVkohli and @ImRo45 ... Allow them time away and then bring them back at NCA, work on basics and get them fresh for the big ones...the Asia Cup and World Cup. #ViratKohli𓃵 #Cricket #CricketTwitter

Talking about the ongoing match between Bangalore and Hyderabad, the former are in all sorts of trouble. As many as three batsmen got out on a duck after Kane Williamson asked them to bat first. The likes of Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, and Dinesh Karthik all got out without even opening their accounts.
At the time of writing, Bangalore are currently reeling at 52 for 7 after 10 overs. Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga are currently at the crease. For Hyderabad, Marco Jansen starred with the ball as he returned with figures of 3 for 18 in 3 overs. J Suchit also picked 2 wickets, while giving away only 12 runs in 3 overs.
