Shubman Gill is currently busy playing the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia that got underway on 7 June 2023. However, Gill has come to this clash after winning the Orange Cap in the recently concluded IPL, although his team Gujarat Titans (GT) lost the final against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Meanwhile, Gill’s personal life and relationship status have always been in the headlines. He always gets linked with either Sara Ali Khan or Sara Tendulkar. In the IPL final also, Sara Ali Khan was seen in the stadium. Now, in a recent interview with India Today, she opened up on the possibility of marrying a cricketer.

Notably, her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore also married the late, former Team India cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. In the interview, Sara, the Bollywood actress said: "I think that the kind of person that I am, to find somebody it doesn’t matter what they do — actor, cricketer, businessman, doctor… Maybe not doctors, they will run away. But you know the truth is that jokes apart, you will need to match me on the mental and intellectual level. And if you can do that, I think it’s great, wow but I think that would matter to me much, much more (than the profession)."
Then, she was asked if she sees herself dating any cricketer from the current Team India squad. In reply to that, Sara said: "I’ll be honest with you, I think and I can say this with almost assurity, I think the person I am going to be in my life I have not met so far. I really don’t think so." However, rumours of her dating Shubman Gill have been in the headlines for a long time now. Various images and videos of both of them having dinner went viral also. Sara Ali Khan’s new movie named Zara Hatke Zara Bachke hit theatres on June 2. She attended the IPL final for the promotion of that movie along with Vicky Kaushal.
