Jasprit Bumrah pokes fun at Sam Konstas

Indian star speedster Jasprit Bumrah had a few words to say about Australian opener Sam Konstas during the ongoing fifth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, January 4.

The duo had a heated altercation late on Day 1. Bumrah was looking to rush his deliveries in while Usman Khawaja was tactically trying to waste some time and ensure it was the last over of the day. Bumrah was not happy with that and Konstas joined in to give back some words to the Indian captain. That didn't impress Bumrah one bit as the duo exchanged some words.

Konstas had a different game plan against Bumrah as he was more defensive in his approach. However, there were a couple of occasions where he miscued trying to go for the big shot. Here's what Virat Kohli had to say to Bumrah about Konstas:

"Yes Bumrah, there’s your man now,"

Bumrah also didn't hold back as he claimed that Konstas was batting line a proper No.10 while miscuing his shots.

Jasprit Bumrah had to go off for scans

Jasprit Bumrah bowled just one over in the second session of play as he had to walk off to the dressing room to get scans done. Bumrah played no further part in the bowling in the day as Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna picked up three wickets each to bunbdke out the Aussies for 181.

India had a lead of four runs going into their second innings, but have already lost six wickets with the lead reading 145.

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar are still at the crease and India will be hoping that the duo stitch a good partnership to get their noses in front. Any target under the 180-run mark and AUstralia would certainly fancy their chances of winning the Test series 3-1.
