Notably, Rohit forms a vital part of India’s Test batting line-up. The limited-overs vice-captain will be opening the innings for India alongside young Shubman Gill. Boult, on the other hand, is likely to be seen leading the New Zealand bowling attack. Mumbai Indians took to their official handle to share Rohit's views on facing up Boult in England. "We've had banter during IPL nets, he's a quality bowler. It will be nice to face him. He'll ask me some questions with the ball, and I'll answer them," Mumbai Indians quoted Rohit as saying.

Rohit has been quite impressive during India’s stint in the WTC cycle from 2019 to 2021. The 34-year-old has scored a stunning 1030 runs in 11 matches at an average of 64.37.
