England’s veteran speedster James Anderson is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to ever play in the longest format. Anderson has aged like a fine wine as the older he is getting the better he is becoming. Anderson’s decision to only the Test format has helped him to become the 3rd highest wicket-taker in the longest format.

Meanwhile, India’s renowned pacer Ishant Sharma recently talked about Anderson with the popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on ‘The Ranveer Show’. Ishant believes that Anderson wouldn’t have gotten the success if he played for India as the condition in the Asian pitches are not usually bowling-friendly.

"Jimmy Anderson’s bowling style and method is quite different. He plays in different conditions in England. Maybe if he played in India...," Ishant then stopped. The anchor smiled and said, "...maybe he wouldn't have found that kind of success." Ishant further added and said, "Zak. He is better than Jimmy Anderson." Ishant was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Ishant also talked about the incident when he was involved in a heated argument with Zaheer during the Wellington Test in 2014. There were some reports and rumours that Ishant had abused Zaheer but Ishant has clarified that it was just frustration and he has never abused anyone from his team and also didn’t abuse Zaheer as treats him as his idol.

“I had told that to myself. To this day, people don’t understand to whom I said that. I have never abused anyone who has dropped a catch. How can say that to Zak? He is literally like a guru for me. I have never even thought about saying anything like that.

It was just frustrating because Brendon McCullum was scoring a lot of runs. There were only three fast bowlers - me, Zak, and Mohammed Shami. After almost every four overs, we had to bowl again and the wicket was very flat. I was just removing the frustration on myself," he said.
