Yuvraj Singh asserted that Indian captain and opening batter Rohit Sharma has been India’s biggest match-winner in ODIs alongside Virat Kohli. He added that if Rohit gets going, he would be a dangerous batter for the opposition.

“In ODIs and white-ball formats, he has been India’s biggest match-winner alongside Virat Kohli. If he is struggling but still gets runs, that is dangerous for the opposition. If he is in form, he will score a century in 60 balls. That is his quality — once he gets going, it’s not just about fours, but also clearing the ropes with sixes,” Yuvraj Singh said on JioHotstar.

Yuvraj also stated that Rohit has the ability to hook the ball even at a 145-150 kmph pace. With a decent strike rate of 120 to 140, Yuvraj feels the Indian explosive opener can change the game single-handedly.

“Even if someone bowls at 145-150 kmph, Rohit has the ability to hook it effortlessly. His strike rate is always between 120-140, and on his day, he can single-handedly win you the game,” Yuvraj Singh added.

Rohit Sharma played a crucial knock against Bangladesh

After Bangladesh put up a target of 229 runs, Indian opener Rohit Sharma smacked 41 runs off 36 balls with seven fours to steady the team's innings alongside Shubman Gill. Rohit stitched a 69-run partnership for the first wicket.

After his dismissal, Gill (101*) took India home alongside KL Rahul (41*) to a six-wicket win. With the ball, Mohammed Shami shined, scalping a five-wicket haul, conceding 53 runs in his full quota of 10 overs.
