The 2023 ODI World Cup is all set to take place in India later this year. However, only a draft of the schedule has come out as per reports as of now. Still, fans are eagerly waiting for the final dates. Reports also suggested that Pakistan have issues with some venues, especially facing Australia in Bengaluru, Afghanistan in Chennai, and India in Ahmedabad.

But, still, no further update has come out on that. Now, reports have come out that the Indian Cricket Board are reportedly looking to conduct an event to mark 100 days countdown for the World Cup. During that event, the final schedule will be announced and listening to that, fans shared their views on social media.

The World Cup schedule reportedly to come out on 27 June

As per PCB’s internal note, they have requested the Apex Council of Cricket without any specific reason for those venue changes. The note reads: "Australia in Bengaluru and Afghanistan in Chennai are the two which we should look to get changed as much as possible. Ideally, we can switch these around. Australia in Chennai and Afghanistan in Bengaluru would make us obvious favourites in both matches. India in Ahmedabad will be advantageous to them, but I doubt that's going to change considering what that venue means for the Indian Cricket Board and what this match means for the World Cup."

"Lucknow would also be a good ground for us considering the overall numbers there. Delhi against most teams would be good for us too. If there is a third change we can make it to get the England game to Lucknow or Chennai," he added. At a recent media briefing, the former PCB chairman, Najam Sethi said: "We have written to the Governing Body of Cricket that we can't give approval or disapproval to this . It's our government who has to decide, just like when it comes to India, it's their government that decides when they go to play."
