Currently, Virat is in action with the Indian team in the ongoing eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. The veteran of 71 centuries has scored 220 runs so far in the four matches of the tournament with three amazing unbeaten half-centuries to his name.
He also played a crucial role in India’s close victories in the thrilling encounters against the neighbors, Pakistan and Bangladesh with unbeaten knocks of 82 and 64 runs respectively. Notably, the former Under-19 World Champion was enduring a poor run of form with the bat for the last three years before an amazing comeback with his 71st international century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022.
Speaking of the 20-20 World Cup campaign of the Indians in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup, they have played four matches so far in the tournament. Out of these four matches, the men in blue have won three matches alongside a five-wicket defeat against the South African team.
