As per earlier reports by PTI, a source close to this development, said: "Binny, Shukla and secretary Jay Shah will be in Sri Lanka for the marquee India vs Pakistan clash in Pallekele (Kandy) on September 2. The trio will be back in India on September 3 after which the Indian Cricket Board president and vice-president will travel through Wagah border to Lahore."

Both Roger Binny and Rajeev Shukla are reportedly set to watch two matches of the Asia Cup in Pakistan

Both Binny and Shukla have been reportedly invited for an official dinner on 4 September as the PCB will host that dinner at the Governor's House in Lahore. On 5 and 6 September, two matches are scheduled to take place in Lahore for the Asia Cup. On 5 September, Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan while on 6 September, the Men in Green will play their first ‘Super 4’ clash at the same venue. So, both Binny and Shukla are expected to watch those matches.

The ongoing tournament is happening based on the proposed hybrid model by the PCB that the Asian Cricket Council approved later. As per that model, four matches are being played in Pakistan while the other nine matches are scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka including the final. However, five ‘Super 4’ clashes are scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka. But, as per recent reports, those matches can be shifted to Dambulla or Pallekele due to the heavy rain threats. India’s first game against Pakistan got called off after just one full innings in Pallekele due to rain.
