India is all set to pick the squad for the Test series against South Africa. The series will have two Tests between the two strongest teams in the world at the moment, along with Australia, England, and New Zealand. For India, the series will be a big challenge, considering how they came close to winning the series in South Africa for the first time, when they toured the land of Proteas the last time.

In 2021/22, India won the first Test in Centurion, but ended up losing the following two Tests. That was the peak of the Indian Test side, despite the middle order batters not being in any form. It is to be seen whether Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane would be backed by the Indian management.

The fans need not wait much for the announcement of the squad, which is not too far. India will be announcing its squad for the series against South Africa by the end of the day, which would give the fans the idea about the transition of the side. After the World Test Championship final of 2021-23 cycel, India was expected to make some changes.
