Senior Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is celebrating his 29th birthday today. He is currently recovering from a back injury that forced him to sit outside the Indian squad during the recently concluded 20-20 World Cup 2022 played in Australia. Bumrah has proved his worth for the Indian team at the highest level of the game in the last few years.

On the back of his stellar performances for the Mumbai-based franchise in the Indian T20 League, he got a call for the national cricket team of India to appear in international cricket.

Talking about cricket, Bumrah is active for India at the highest level of the game since the year 2016. Since his international debut in 2016, the 29-year-old has played 30 Tests, 72 ODIs, and 60 T20I for the men in blue.
In these appearances, the speedster has scalped a total of 319 wickets including eight five-wickets hauls in a Test inning and 2 five-wicket hauls in ODIs respectively.
Apart from international cricket, the pacer has also played for Mumbai in the cash-rich Indian T20 League. In his 120 appearances, the pacer has scalped 145 wickets in his Indian T20 League career so far.
Due to a back injury, he couldn’t appear for India in the Asia Cup 2022 and the 20-20 World Cup 2022 as well. Fans are hoping his comeback with the Indian team in international cricket very soon.
It is also expected that Bumrah might be seen in action during the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League which is scheduled to be played next year in India.
