Ravindra Jadeja lit up the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 29 May 2023 when he hit 10 runs off the last two balls to win the IPL final for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Gujarat Titans (GT). The star all-rounder managed to hold his nerves and ensured his team’s fifth IPL title in an epic finish.
But, after the match, he came up with a heartwarming gesture by gifting the bat that he used in the final to his CSK teammate, Ajay Mandal. Ajay is a 27-year-old all-rounder from Chhattisgarh whom CSK bought before this IPL for INR 20 Lakhs. Now, he shared the image of that bat with an adorable caption for Jadeja on Instagram and after seeing that fans shared their views on social media.

On the Instagram story, Ajay wrote: “Hope you guys remember that Sir Jadeja’s last 10 runs of 2 balls in final match. After that he gave me that bat only as a blessing..sir Jadeja for you. Big thanks to @chennaiipl for giving me the opportunity to share a dressing room with Jaddu bhai.” Speaking of Jadeja, he had a great season for CSK, especially with the ball. In 16 matches, he scored 190 runs while taking 20 wickets. In the final also, he took one wicket and scored 15* runs off six balls.
After the final, Jadeja said: “Feels amazing, winning my fifth title in front of my home crowd. I’m from Gujarat, and it’s a special feeling. This crowd has been amazing. They were waiting for rain to stop till late night, I’d like to say a big congratulations to the CSK fans who came to support us. I’d like to dedicate this win to a special member of the CSK side, MS Dhoni. I was just thinking I need to swing hard, as much as I can. Where the ball will go, I was not thinking about that, just looking to swing hard. I was backing myself and looking to hit straight, because I know Mohit can bowl those slower balls.”
