Former legendary Proteas skipper and one of the most dangerous batters AB de Villiers appreciated the Indian batting star and former skipper Virat Kohli. Notably, the latter amazed the entire cricketing fraternity with a swashbuckling knock of 166 runs off 110 balls with 13 boundaries and two sixes to his name.

Kohli also completed his 46th ODI century during the third and last of the recently-concluded three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The entire cricketing fraternity including the former cricketers, experts, and fans showered praises and blessings on the veteran Delhi batter.

Meanwhile, AB de Villiers took to Twitter on Monday, the 16th of January in the morning.

Coming back to Virat Kohli, he won the ‘player of the series award for his brilliant performance throughout the entire series. Alongside this, he also claimed two ‘player of the match awards for two amazing centuries in the first and third of the three-match ODI series.

Kohli scored 243 runs in three innings with an unprecedented average of 141.50 with two centuries to his name.

Now, he will be in action with the men in blue during the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Both teams will lock horns with each other in the first of the three-match ODI series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, the 18th of January.

Although, Virat would not be a part of the Indian squad during the three-match T20I series against the Kiwis. The team will play under the captaincy of stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya as regular skipper Rohit Sharma will also be absent from the series of the quickest format against the visitors.
