Each team will look to get a result in their favour in the final match as the ODI World Cup 2023 is just around the corner. This bilateral series marks the start of the preparation for the mega event for both teams.

Having won the toss, the home team decided to bat first, but they did not have the best start in the innings. Shan Masood departed early as Lockie Ferguson sent him back on the final ball of the second over itself. Team Captain Babar Azam walked into bat next, but he could not do much either. He was dismissed by Michael Bracewell in the 7th over for a score of just four in the 13 balls that he played.

Azam was standing outside his crease to field a delivery, but it stayed straight and beat him outside. The keeper was quick to react and removed the bails before Babar could even consider returning.

After that, Mohammad Rizwan and opener Fakhar Zaman held the fort for Pakistan. Each put on great performances and managed to get to a total of 160/2 in 31 overs at the time of writing this article. Zaman, batting on 88, is inching closer to his century, while Rizwan also completed his half-century.

In the meantime, Twitter was abuzz with trolls for the Pakistani skipper. "A 'disappointing series' with the bat for Babar Azam as he ends with an average of 49.67. Feel gutted to see him finish an ODI series without a 100. The level of expectations we have from him is unreal," a user wrote. On the other hand, some hailed Babar to come back stronger.
