Prithvi Shaw has not been in the scheme of things of late and last played for India in 2021 July. The player made his debut in Test cricket in 2018 and went out of the radar in 2020. Since 2021 July, the Indian youngster has been out of action. However, Prithvi Shaw will have only himself to blame for it as he had some attitude problems to face.

The Indian youngster also served a ban for using a banned medicine and paid the price for it. However, the 22-year-old has been ruling domestic cricket for a while now. Although he has not been in the scheme of things, Prithvi Shaw is constantly knocking on the doors of the selectors. The 22-year-old has proved his worth yet again in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2022.

West Zone and Central Zone are facing each other in the first semi-finals of the tournament. In the second innings, Prithvi Shaw scored a century and remained unbeaten on 104 runs at the end of the day. Out of 130 runs that the team amassed on day 2, 104 runs were from the bat of the 22-year-old.

Prithvi Shaw is in threatening form and domestic teams are finding it hard to tackle the youngster. The same is the case in the semi-finals as the Thane-born scored a quick 60 in the first innings. The West Zone team aggregated 257 runs on board and the 22-year-old remained the star of the innings. Albeit Rahul Tripathi scored 67 runs, Shaw's innings remained impactful.

The Central Zone team succumbed in the first innings for just 128 runs. Jaydev Unadkat toyed with the batters and put the team on the front foot. With a lead of 129 runs, the West Zone marched on to the third innings and it was all about Prithvi Shaw.

The 22-year-old bagged as many as eleven boundaries and three maximums to reach the three-figure mark.
