'Gayle Storm' Hits Abu Dhabi As The 'Universe Boss' Slams 84* off 22

Chris Gayle might not have the same consistency that he used to have but on his day he can be a nightmare for the bowlers. Something similar happened in the match between Abu Dhabi and  Maratha Arabians in the T-10 League as Chris Gayle tore apart of the Arabians with a brutal 84* in 22 deliveries including 6 fours and 9 gigantic sixes. Gayle was not having the best of the tournament and had scores of 4, 5, 9 and 2 in his previous four games. Some people were even critical about his place in the team but the Universe Boss silenced his critics in a grand style.

Opening the innings, Gayle went berserk from the first over itself, smashing Yamin Ahmadzai for 24 runs. After playing out the first two deliveries, Gayle hit three consecutive fours before ending the over with a massive six. In the next over hit Sompal Kami for three consecutive sixes to reach 39 off just 9 deliveries. In his next four deliveries, Gayle smashed two fours and two sixes, racing to a fifty in just 12 balls. He hit two more sixes of Maroof Merchant on the 5th and 6th ball of the 4th over. Ishant Malhotra bowled a decent 5th over and didn’t allowed Gayle to score much. Gayle finished the match with a 6 off Muktar Ali and helped his team chase the target under 6 overs.
