On 2 April 2023, the whole of India celebrated the 12th anniversary of team India winning the ODI World Cup back in 2011. So, In order to celebrate that victory, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is going to create a memorial of the iconic six MS Dhoni hit to seal victory in the 2011 World Cup final against Sri Lanka.

Now, according to the reports of Indian Express, MS Dhoni will be present by himself to inaugurate the memorial and he will be presented with a memento. Seeing that fans came up with some funny tweets and memes over Gautam Gambhir. He was one of the crucial players when team India chased down 275 runs in that World Cup final.

However, till now, Gambhir has always been found critical about that match-winning six from MS Dhoni, In pat, he was seen slamming the media for overhyping that shot and called as an iconic moment. Speaking of the memorial to the Cricbuzz, MCA president Amol Kale said: “We will install a memorial at the very place where the six had landed in the stands. It is difficult to identify exactly on which seat the ball had landed. We have identified three-four seats and we will install the memorial at that very spot.”

MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik said: "It would be a fitting tribute to MS Dhoni's match-winning innings, and we hope it will inspire many youngsters to follow the footsteps of Captain Cool in cricket.” However, in a recent event, MS Dhoni revealed that the match-winning six was not his favourite moment from the final. He said: “The best feeling was 15-20 minutes (before the winning moment). The stadium started to sing Vande Mataram. That atmosphere I feel is very difficult to recreate - maybe in this (upcoming 2023) World Cup, there is a similar scenario, once the stadium, the fans start contributing."
