Mohammad Amir is currently busy preparing for the Pakistan Super League. He will be playing for Karachi Kings. However, on 14 February 2023, his team will face Peshawar Zalmi in the National Stadium Karachi. Babar Azam is the skipper of Peshawar Zalami this time around. So, ahead of that clash, Amir came up with a huge statement against the Pakistan skipper.
In a PSL special program by ARYnews, Pakistan journalist, Shoaib Jatt was seen asking Mohammad Amir about the potential matchup between him and Babar in the PSL clash. In reply to that, Amir said that bowling to Babar is as same as bowling to a tailender for him as his main aim is to take wickets for his team.

In that program, Shoaib Jatt asked: “When Virat Kohli was at his peak, the world acknowledged him that time, and you were still able to take his wicket every time you face him. Now world acknowledges Babar Azam, what are your plans now?” In reply to that, Mohammad Amir said: “I don’t have any such match-ups against anyone. For me, bowling to Babar and a tailender is the same. My job is to take wickets and win matches for my team, so for me, facing Babar or a tailender batting at number 10 will be the same.”
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi’s new skipper, Babar Azam shared a clear response regarding the same matter. He said: “Competition is always good for the league. Not only Karachi, but every team has good quality local bowlers. That is why all foreigners play in this league because it is a quality league. When I play against any quality bowler, I stick to my basics. There is no pressure. I like to keep things simple and don’t overthink about the opposition.” After listening to such a comment from the Pakistan pacer about Babar, fans went crazy.
