When former Netherlands skipper Peter Borren tweeted about young prodigy Vikramjit Singh, little did he know what he was getting into. It all started when a passionate cricket fan named Johns tweeted about a Tamil movie named 'Vikram' starring veteran actor Kamal Hassan. His tweet captioned 'Damn excited for #Vikram tomorrow, positive reports everywhere, Can't wait!!!!!'. However, in a hilarious turn of events, Borren hilariously misinterpreted the Tweet.

The former Dutch skipper posted an image of Vikramjit Singh, who made his international debut against New Zealand earlier this year. Currently, Singh is playing the three-match ODI series against the West Indies at home. Thus, intentionally or unintentionally, he ended up trolling Kamal Hasan and his movie.

Have a look at the Tweet from Borren

Borren's tweet has created a hilarious situation as the netizens are confused about whether he is talking about the movie or the player. For the unversed, 'Vikram' is a Tamil movie which is a sequel of 'Kaithi'. Meanwhile, talking about the Netherlands vs West Indies series, the Maroon Brigade have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.

The last game between the two teams will be played on June 4 with the hosts looking to salvage their pride. Also, this series is being played under the Cricket World Cup Super League, which is the qualification tournament for teams for the 50-over World Cup in 2023. Teams need to be in the top seven positions to directly qualify for the showpiece event before the end of the tournament.

While the West Indies are placed sixth, the Netherlands are on 13th. The teams finishing outside of the top seven positions would play another tournament which will determine the final two teams for the World Cup in India. For the unversed, the tournament will be played between 10 teams just like it happened in 2019 in England.

As India is the host, they have automatically qualified for the event. Apart from them, the top seven teams from the Super League will fill the eight spots. Currently, Bangladesh are leading the charts, and Pakistan is tottering in the 10th position.
