Former Indian pacer and analyst Varun Aaron has heaped praise on Indian veteran batter Virat Kohli for regaining his lost rhythm in the Sydney ODI against Australia, which propelled India to a consolation win on Saturday, October 25.

Speaking exclusively to Star Sports, Aaron compared Kohli to an old tractor, stating that it needs a little spark to start, rather than relying on normal ignition. For the unversed, Kohli smacked an unbeaten 74-run knock off 81 balls with seven fours to play a crucial role in the chase.
"Virat Kohli is like one of those old tractors. It just needs a little fire to start. It doesn't start on a normal ignition. When Virat has some fire burning in him, you set Virat loose to chase down a target; this is what he gives you. Chanceless batting," Varun Aaron said on Star Sports.
"The over from Hazlewood was where he got going. He got that one run, acted like he had gotten a hundred because it means a lot to him. Even now, when he turns up for India, he wants to win games for India, wants to score hundreds and fifties. Most fifties by an Indian in a winning cause. So the records just keep tumbling when Rohit and Kohli bat," he concluded.
Delving into the details of the third ODI, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first. They could post only 236 runs on a flat wicket in 46.4 overs. Harshit Rana was the wrecker-in-chief with a four-wicket haul to turn things upside down. Matt Renshaw was the top scorer for Australia, scoring 56 runs in 58 balls with two fours.
In response, Rohit Sharma's 121-run unbeaten knock changed the game's complexion as India chased down the target in 38.3 overs with nine wickets in hand. Kohli played an exceptional knock of 74* in 81 balls. India eventually ended the three-match ODI series 1-2.
