“My man of the match is Jasprit Bumrah” - Former Indian cricketers laud Team India as they advance to the grand finale

Former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, VVS Laxman, and many others took to their official X handles to wish the Indian team as they advanced to the grand finale of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign.

Delving into the details of the semi-final against England, India was tasked to bat first and posted an imposing total of 253/7 in 20 overs, courtesy of Samson's 89 and Shivam Dube's 43. Will Jacks and Adil Rashid pocketed two wickets apiece.

In the chase, despite losing wickets, England looked in complete control, courtesy of Jacob Bethell’s impressive century. However, it was Jasprit Bumrah’s last two overs of his spell that turned the game towards India’s favour. Ultimately, India secured a seven–run win to advance to the final.
